Situated on the edge of an affluent Denver residential neighborhood, this neglected residential courtyard sat just over the fence from an upscale retail district and behind an upscale day spa. The space was bleak in winter and overgrown in summer. When the owners decided to refurbish the space, they approved a re-design that gave it a much greater sense of seclusion from the adjacent commercial establishments and integrated the indoor spaces with new outdoor ones. The landscape architect worked closely with the contractors to implement the schematic level drawings of the property.
