Design Workshop Hires New Intern to Aspen Office

AspenDesign Workshop, an international landscape architecture, land planning, urban design and strategic services firm with six offices in the U.S. and work spanning the globe, is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Collins as its office intern. While at the Aspen office he will be assisting on a variety of projects ranging from design competitions to resort and residential schematic designs. He will also be working on marketing proposals and filling in on projects as needed.

Collins received his master’s degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University in 2010 and his bachelor’s degree in geography with a concentration in urban planning, from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2004, graduating cum laude. His previous work experience includes a 2010 internship with Breimann & Bruun Landscape Architects located in Hamburg, Germany. While working with them, Collins was involved in several projects including, revising and reviewing construction drawings, creating concept sketches for park designs and researching precedents and site conditions for future projects. Collins’ diverse project work also includes developing a design proposal for a coastal defense and waterfront plan for Vlissingen Netherlands while working with TU Delft and ARCADIS development firm as well as developing key amendments to provisions of the zoning ordinance and subdivision ordinance in Pender County NC, involving water and sewer treatment facilities and densities.
