Design Workshop Adds Landscape Designer to Austin Office

25 May 2011

AustinDesign Workshop, an international landscape architecture, land planning, urban design and strategic services firm with six offices in the U.S. and work spanning the globe, is pleased to announce the addition of Stacie Jagger as a landscape designer to its Austin office. In this role, she will be working on both planning and design projects.

Jagger’s experience focuses on citizen participation and collaborative planning processes. She possesses a diverse background with expertise in integrating a planning process that is rooted in the community with innovative design informed by the cultural landscape and environmental context of the site. In addition, Stacie’s experience also includes large-scale land use planning and policy documents.

In 2005, Jagger graduated, with honors, from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resource Studies, with an emphasis in environmental health, development and education.

Shortly thereafter, she worked for the City of Pleasanton's affordable housing office and served as the coordinator for the urban environmental education program at Richmond High School. In 2006, Jagger joined William Hezmalhalch Architects and worked as a project manager and planner for two years. This experience fueled Jagger's desire to return to the University of California, Berkeley where she earned a Masters in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning in 2010.

For the past year, Jagger has taught courses at the University of California, Berkeley on environmental problem solving and using environmental site design as an educational platform for project based learning and has worked for the Alameda County Resource Conservation District where she was responsible for outreach and education regarding water-related conservation issues.
